France — Algeria and Tunisia — c. 1908

30.00

A beautiful “4 in 1” map mostly highlighting France’s northern African colonies at the time, though also with a military map of mainland France. The primary region on display is of Algeria and Tunisia. Algeria at the time was fully integrated in France as one of its “départements”, while Tunisia was merely a protectorate (i.e. France controlled its foreign affairs, military, and economic policies while leaving some of the traditional government in place).

French made from Atlas Classique (c. 1908)
